Pavel Hoffman has worked as a teacher and administrator at Word of Life Theological Seminary and the Scandinavian Theological Seminary since 2003. Since the spring of 2024, Pavel has been the Study Director at STH.<\/p>\n

He grew up in a culturally Christian Catholic family during the communist era in former Czechoslovakia before deciding to follow the Christian lifestyle personally. He eventually became a Protestant theologian after the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. His life goal within theological education has taken him to various countries, equipping him with sensitivity to different cultural environments.<\/p>\n

As one of the first students at the Word of Life’s University, he came to Sweden in 1994 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in New Testament. He then continued his studies at the Graduate Theological Seminary at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, USA, where he earned a combined master\u2019s degree, a Master of Arts in Theological-Historical Studies, and a Master of Divinity. He was awarded the title Who\u2019s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for his academic achievements. Pavel holds a doctoral degree from the University of South Africa, and his research explores the relationship between Christianity and the surrounding culture.<\/p>\n

He has been active in both theological research and pastoral ministry. Before coming to Sweden, Pavel Hoffman was the study director for a Pentecostal charismatic Bible school in Brno, Czech Republic. He is a project leader and translator for a new Czech Bible translation called Bible kralick\u00e1 revidovan\u00e1<\/em> (BKR). He has been engaged in the Society of Pentecostal Studies and the Association of Evangelical Theologians. His areas of expertise include systematic theology, ethics, and apologetics.<\/p>\n
