New accreditation partnership between Scandinavian School of Theology and Southeastern University, Florida, USA
On January 1st, 2019, a unique partnership began between the Scandinavian School of Theology (SST) and Southeastern University, Florida, USA.
Southeastern University (SEU) is connected to the worldwide Pentecostal denomination Assemblies of God, with 3.2 million members in the United States and globally 69 million in 370,000 churches.
SEU offers a broad range of academic programs from theology to media and finance. At the present time, it has 8,700 students studying both on campus and online.
Southeastern University is situated in the beautiful Florida Lakeland with its wonderful natural surroundings and its proximity to world-famous attractions such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and there it offers everything you would find on an American campus: American football, chapel services with 1700 resident students, and attractive surroundings.
The SST-SEU partnership
The two institutions are partners in the project. The way it works is that students can study for an entire internationally accredited bachelor’s degree at SEU by taking 75% of their courses through online studies in Sweden and 25% online and/or on-campus in Florida – the equivalent of one year of studies. You could, for example, study one semester in Florida, focusing on pastoral ministry, worship or missions, and take the other courses online. After completing your bachelor’s degree, you can continue at both a master’s and a doctoral level at SEU or another international university.
Students may also choose to only do their studies at SST.
